I read one of the Motherhood magazine article "Career & Mum or Career Mum"?
*A career woman dreams to one day throw her career to the wind and become a full-time homemaker, while a stay-at-home mum yearns the day she can forget about changing diapers and trade in her apron for some high-heels and stylish office wear!

It's True MUMMIES??
- Financial Considerations
- Is your career worth putting off having a family?
- Who do you think will appreciate you more, your family or your boss?
- If you were to give up your career, can your husband's income meet all of your family's household expenses; yet leave enough to also provide for the occassional rainy day or treat?
- Is the entire fsmily aware that every member has to chip in and cut down unnecessary expenses?
- Living on just your husband's income, can you stand being fully dependent on him for all your needs?
2. Mental & Emotional COnsiderations
- If you contined with your career and had to leave the care of the children to someone else, how do you think you would feel about that?
- Do you sincerely feel the need to quit your job and be a full-time mother or is it because of outside pressure?
- Do you think your becoming a full-time mother adds value to your children's lives?
- If you were to become a full-time homemaker, can you stand it that there is no monetary value attached to your 'job'?
- Do you and your husband recognise the importance of your role as a full-time homemaker?
- Does your family, especially your husband, appreciate your non-financial contribution to the family?
3. Physical Considerations
- Do you think you have the energy and the patience to be with your kids 24/7?
- Is your husband willing to share the load when it comes to taking care of the family and the home?
Of course, for some women, it is not so clear cut. It is not easy as choosing one or the other. But bear in mind though that for a working woman, it is tough to have to come home to take care of the family after a long day at work so the husband is going to have to chip in and do his fair bit of "diaper duty" and share the parenting load.
For me I'm also in a confused state!! But i feel that this article really true.. Both parents should share the parenting load together., not only the WOMAN who should always be the one doing it..
